Hi folks, Chairman’s June update.

That time again for our June 2023 rally round up.

We have made lots of changes to our Rally field for the 2023 Rally, being our third on this site. The Rally address is in Langley Lane, Clanfield Oxon OX18 2RZ.

Again we moved dates forward to April 29th/30th /1st May 2023 this has given us the 3 day holiday weekend of May away from the Prince Charles’s, crowning ceremony weekend.
We have now decided that the first May bank holiday dates will stay as our regular weekend for the future.

A very exciting weekend with record public attendance, stallholders and exhibitors.

In the mini ring Fun Dog Show by Food Fairies for Street Dogs & Cats and Angels for Animals Association, Britannia Majorettes gave us a March in with a demonstration in the ring. Highworth Silver Band, Alvescot Ukuleles were thoroughly enjoyed too.

14 Miniature Steamers came along. A much bigger ring for the parades of Tractors, Cars, Commercials and Motor Bikes, which was most welcome.
Yes we had a bigger ring, enjoyed by all, it coped with as many exhibits that wanted to come and parade. Tony our regular commentator kept us all informed with details of the vehicles as they paraded round on all 3 days.
Andrew orgainised the PA for the mini ring and the beer tent in the evenings.

All Weekend Camping was available for the second year on the rally field (forms on the web site), Friday night thru to Monday night in to Tuesday 10 am. With free entry to rally with wrist bands inclusive in the camping fee.

In early December, I sent out 420 entries invites to everybody on my lists, 340 entries came back thank you to all who supported us. There were more exhibits on the field than names in the programme, as one entry had 7 motor cycles, lots of 3-4-5 oil engines. Tractors too, some driven in on the day, 135 cars booked in over the weekend, with 70-80 Saturday and Sunday with 68 booked in on Monday.

Margaret was posting the stalls/ boot /camping forms out being returned promptly, 56 Trade stalls, 10 Car Boots, with 5 all weekend Camping.
